It's supposedly a replacement for R-12, but I've heard bad things about it...don't remember the details, but I wouldn't use it.
I would go with R-12 if you can afford it...otherwise stick with R-134. I plan to do an R-134 conversion on my truck, solely 'cause I can't afford the R-12...
