Do a search. There was a post around here not too long ago that showed a picture of what needed to be disconnected to disable it without effecting anything else.

A funny story about the alarm. My wife/kids recently went to the mall in the SD and were not aware of the alarm. They got into the car at the mall, activated the alarm and did not have a clue how to turn it off. Drove back with it going off and now she won't drive it - LOL.
