Khari - I put this on the tech forum

Thanks for the link but I have seen your fine machine before. I did a search of this forum (Ignition Control Module) aswellas other aficinado web sites. Since all other electrical/electronic components assemblies and sub assemblies are protected by fuses, I have my doubts as to the inverter frying your car computer. Since the dealer states that they did 4 hours of diagnostics, ask them if you can speak to the tech or team leader who did the manual diagnosis.

Check list it.

Did he confirm that all fuses are fully functional with no hairline cracks(remove-visually inspect, test, replace if corroded ends)

Did he check condition of wiring harness(one going from brain to TA and other components notorious for failure - your car should already be on it's 2nd or even third harness.

Last but not least, did he remove the EZL and test on other similar vehicle to see if it did not work on that vehicle.?

When a certain MA dealer wanted to replace mine, I called the tech and asked him to perform that task and call me back. He did as I asked as he thought he was on the clock regardless of the result. It worked in the other vehicle and he reinstalled it back in my car. When I picked up the vehicle, I asked to see the service manager - told him that I refused to pay for incompetence - A simple hand held HHT test would have told the tech that the computer was AOK avoiding the R&R
