Starting Fluid

The first thing I would try is to remove the air cleaner and have a friend spray starting fluid or ether into the plenum... It is springloaded so he will need a long screwdriver or tire iron to hold it open..He would spray just as you try to start the engine...If it starts immediately this will maybe help you narrow down the possibities and a good idea is to change the spark plug wires- the coil is only about a one in a million possibility-I don't think it is your distributor-have you checked your vacumn-if your engine fires right up with ether/starting fluid then that will narrow things down for you-have you given the car a Italian tune up yet??...Good Luck(luck is spelled w-o-r-k)Jim
