You should talk to Mario Aristides in Miami. He sells a number of kits including one that has ionstructions and springs to modify the accumulator action and thus shift timing and strength.
It's my guess that you have an accumulator spring broken. I have Mario's kit and have done some good with it. I often replace the
VB though, as MB has had rebuilts for a pretty good price.
