Well, I changed to Mobil 1 and was impressed with it. The car DID NOT smoke after the first day of use. The engine performed more smoothly and she would fire off with much more speed. I would have to say that it was a definite improvement!

But.................................My car consumes oil like there is no tomorrow. I can't afford synthetic under these conditions.

After this engine finally dies (which could be ten years from now) I will rebuild it and start using synthetic, maybe, probably, possibly.
