I have had this problem before, but of course did not eject the cartridge first (like an idiot or as an idiot - take your pick). I have tried plugging and unplugging and plugging it in whiole holding down the eject buttom (which worked for me in the past) but now I cannot get the thing to eject or play.
The problem lies with the worm gear that ejects the CDpack. it comes off the shaft and does not eject any more. If you are really handy, and I mean "really"! You can disassemble the changer and put the worm gear back on the shaft, I was an electronics tech early in my life, and it is not an easy job, screws and wires that have to be re-dressed etc. I got it to work, you can also send it back to Becker, and they will rebuid it with some kind of warranty, check their web page.
I think you can get the mag out by slipping someting thin down the side and releasing the catch, and then pulling it up, I dont remember which side it was on
