I had a shop do a lower on my 190e last winter after it started squeaking. I have been thinking I need to do the lower on the opposite side as well.

How do you know when it should be done? Beyond sometimes squeaking, I heard they can sometimes just fail. Is there a way to clearly inspect w/o removal?
