Right side electric rearview mirrors were fitted from 1983 on all W123s, including the wagon.
Before that, both outside mirrors were adjusted manually.
Mercedes-Benz engineers refused to fit a left side (driver's) electrically adjustable mirror because it was a superfluos feature, since the manual adjustment allow the driver to do it directly from its seat position. Later, they had to change their view on the W124 and later models when the memory function was integrated into the outside mirrors also.
I have the original Mercedes-Benz Euro brochures for the wagons for the years 79-80-81-81-83-84 and 85, and I also have the original M.B. U.S. brochure for the 1984 W123 line up (sedan, wagon and coupe), all in mint condition.
