Just don't try reversing the wires AND the hoses, then you'll have the same situation. Try looking at it to see if it appears one or the other may be reversed (doesn't look quite right). I think it's physically possible to reverse either one of these. The switch-over valves themselves are interchangeable with each other, same part.
