Wouldn't a yellow tint in the lens reduce light output?

There are many good yellow bulbs available, such as the Philips Weathervision and Osram All Season. I think the Hella Yellowstar bulbs are OK too. These bulbs are specially made to produce yellow light to increase visibility in poor weather conditions - the bulb isn't just tinted yellow.
