Of course diesels in cars in my time were limited to Mercedes, and I wasn't around any back then(early 70's). So I suppose had I been exposed to them, I may have seen what great vehicles they were. The first exposure I had was when GM started putting their ill fated V-8 diesels in cars in the late 70's. That was enough to convince me what a mistake it was to put a diesel engine in a car
