Since it has been several months since I performed my measurements on the Sportline Package, I re-measured the height this weekend on the assumption that the parts may have settled into place a bit. My original measurements were:
Before Sportline: Rear - 8", Front - 7.5"
After Sportline: Rear - 7.75" Front - 7.25"

After several months of not so conservative driving the suspension has settled to a rear height of 7 1/2" and a front height of 7", measurements taken at the same places as noted in the Sportline article under the "Featured Cars" page. Since I am not even a 1/16th" down on the tire tread, it looks like the amount of lowering provided by the Sportline package is about 1/2". The visual effect is such that the MB owners who have asked me about the wonderful shine on my car (Thanks, LEE!) seem to think there is something different about the car, but they can't figure out that it has been lowered.
