Just my two cents,

I am a white guy who has a korean wife so I have my fair share of korean and asian food and I LOVE IT.

I have a simple rule when it comes to chinese resturants. If a white guy referred me there it often sucks. It is bland and watered down.

If you are the token white person in the resturant you are on your way.

I think that the same can be said for most ethnic food resturants. If you live in the country then maybe this rule is harder to follow but in sub urban to urban areas it should work. Also, if the resturant advertises on the radio it sucks.

As a rule, chinese food, if it is good, should taste good when cold.
