Synthetic can allow extended drain intervals: Bull***, Ask any engine manufacturer to give you in writing the OK to extend oil change intervals and still maintain their full warranty.
Synthetic are more stable at higher temperature: True, but the temperature at which they become more stable than mineral oils is well passed the desintegration point of an engine.
