"Looking on ebay, I notice that the 500E is now in the same price range as an older E55!!!"

The E55 is a good bit quicker and has readily available performance upgrades to take it past 500 hp and make it compete with supercars in acceleration. I couldn't see paying more for the 500E. The 500E's were great but give me an E55 AMG any day!
