God thats a tricky one! I guess this shows you should'nt
mix business with er business. If I were you, given that they've repaired the damage which is'nt in a critical spot (by the sound of it), I'd let it drop. However I'd speak to the guy you know and make it clear that you know who made the mistake and that he knows to. Then go somewhere else next time.
