Yep, should come right off after the caliper is off and you remove the nut on the spindle (don't know the technical term for it). The bearings will fall out if you aren't careful at least the outside ones will, I think there is a seal that holds the larger inside ones in. Sorry, can't tell you about the back.
I can't remember which threadlock I used but it was mainly just to keep the bolts from ever coming loose from vibration and so the bolts won't seize up.
