If you have a manual transmission, you may be able to enjoy a process which I perfected several years back while driving a 24' "straight truck" with a six cyl diesel & turbo as part of my job delivering & servicing large medical devices. After a stop I'd start out in second or even third gear (out of four gears), really lugging the engine almost stalling, with the pedal floored. Soon the truck would virtually launch - comically quickly, at least three times as fast as normal; behind was a cloud of smoke so thick and large it would totally obliterate the rearward view and anyone unfortunate enough to be in it. We named the process"Spooging" (pronounced spoojing) and I taught any visiting techs how to do it and they took the skill back to their respective locales. I especially relished the look on the smokers' faces as I poured the thick smokescreen out on them as they stood on the loading docks savoring their cigarettes. I had to push extremely heavy stuff and strap it down and I despised their polluting my atmosphere as I did my physical labor. They'd scatter like ants after my smoky launch. probably the only exercise they ever got. But I digress.
I am not proud of the abuse of the truck or the poor souls who I spooged but it sure took the drudgery out of an otherwise unbearable city route on a job with 24 hour call. I can't pin down the exact reason it's so darn funnny but geez I still laugh out loud thinking about it.
