KenSilver isn't the only one from NZ, and isn't even the only one from Wellington. I have lived here for about 10 years, and also live on a hill overlooking the harbour. I'm not quite sure where he got the 900,000 population figure from though, it's more like 135,000 in central Wellington and about 300,000 including the greater area including the nearby Hutt Valley, Porirua city and the Kapiti coast, all about an hours drive radius from central Wellington.

It's staggeringly beautiful here, just a little low in ideological and artistic diversity because of the miniscule population base. Kind of New Zealand in a nutshell really. The isolation from the rest of the world is our greatest selling point but also the source of a huge "little guy" chip on the country's shoulder. We as New Zealanders have to always prove that we are as good as the guys from the BIG countries..

Luckily we are usually better..
