Hi, today I went to the dealer to check out the rubber floormats. They look great and the it looks like they are the perfect fit. However they are not as sturdy as the W140 chassis floormats. A family member has rubber floor mats in his S320 and they have nice high rim (or sidewall) (about 1 inch tall) all around the floormats in order to really keep the dirt where it belongs. The W124 floor mats have a smaller sidewall and that kind of disapointed me

I dunno maybe I am criticising those W124 mats too muchm, but I really want quality mats because the carpet is just so mint

BTW do you guys keep your carpet floormats under the rubber mats or do you just take out the carpet floor mats and put the rubber mats directly on the floor?

I always leave the carpet mats for extra protection against dirt!
