w210 diesel throttle position problems

Hi,

My father has a 96 E300D. Beautiful car, we got a deal on it because it has a check engine light. The light is on because of (according to autozone's scanner) a throttle position sensor or switch.

Car runs great, and if not for the light, Id never think there was an issue. upshifts and downshifts fine, etc.

Can anyone give me information on the replacement of these switches or units in an e-class diesel? Its a long shot from my 83 300D.

Is it a DIY job? is it paticularly expensive?

Thanks,

JMH
