Thank you. I had heard that previously. My basic plan was to drive my '86 till it dropped (maybe 500k?) but then I got the opportunity to buy the '87 with only 45k miles I could not say no. I drove 35k last year, so at 45k it will take me seven or eight years to hit 295k where my '86 is now, so I will probably not be in the market for another one for quite awhile. However, you would not believe the friends and relatives who get interested in MBenzs once they hear how well mine runs, the low initial cost, etc. Therefore, maybe somebody else will want one soon.

Which years for the 300SD are worth owning?
