I wasn't aware that they produced a 300SD in 92 and 93. I thought it was a 350 from 1989 on. I guess I learn something every day. Perhaps if Mercedes follows through and exports a diesel to the U.S. it will be the S400 CDI. Now that is a car I would love to own.

Kent, you are quite lucky to have found such a low mileage 87 300SDL. That was the last year they produced the 300SDL with a W126 chassis, and I am a big fan of the 126s. If I every come across such an 87 300SDL and happen to have any spare money (or any hope of obtaining money in the near future) I would happily buy it.
