Thanks to everyone that tried to help.figure out what the start up noise was.I have decided to just let the car warm up a little bit before I drive off.Than there is no knock.I could have nightmares about taking this to some shop to try and figure out and have to sell one of my grandchildren to pay the bill.So from now on I will start it let it run for a few minutes than drive off happy as a clam.Whatever the hell that meens Michael
