I responded directly to question. Wiring harnesses still failing all over the country. My sl-600 still in limp mode until I can gather up courage to tackle the beast. Got it down to the coax cable to one multiplug in the computer cabinet. Wire checks low resistance to ground at first, slowly (hours) returns to OK when the bend is relaxed. Now how to repair that without disassembling the entire car?
