You might be interested in this. When I was at Pinnacle Automotive checking on the SRS lite, Steve mentioned that the wiring harnesses have insulation that breaks up after some time. He showed me where the wires going to the crank sensor were completely bare at the short section between the sheath and the connector. Hard to believe that MB would use such inferior insulation on the wires.
