I've jumped the SDL a couple of times with the S420 and a couple other times with the Caravan. I mean connect the cables and start, not charging the weak battery. The SDL battery was to the point that it wouldn't turn the cold (70F ambient) engine with the glow plug relay disconnected. Connect, glow, start. Simple as that.
