Matt, I saw your post in my thread, about you bumping this thread so I would see it. Thank you.

I can just picture doing what you were saying about looking around constantly and jacking the car up and down so as to avoid a ticket. I've been in those situations myself, and thought if I bought the car I might find myself doing that too, in an area unfamiliar to me. A year or so ago I swapped out a Toyota alternator on the side of a freeway, and talked to a cop and a tow truck driver who really wanted to tow me, during that ordeal. The wind from So Cal drivers doing 70 in the far right lane was um.. "fun". As was the alternator being mounted very low.

It's been a few days and I've not talked to the guy who owns the car, so maybe it is gone now. Some things have changed and I might actually be able to get a ride to the area the car is in, if I asked my friend who is off work because he broke his finger.

If this car doesn't work out, there will be others.
