Actually I think the Silver Star comment was in response to your suggestion that Kerry never faced the enemy in armed combat while in Viet Nam. I was hoping to hear what actually happened as when the stories about him discarding his "medals" were in the news, it seemed all accounts painted a pretty vivid picture of a guy actually going the extra mile to look out for and bring back all of his company. And he went back for more, or so the stories go. What is the real story? Jim
