Replace the SD metal sunroof with a folding canvas sunroof like on 50s VWs and be halfway there. I considered it for the windfall SD I got with the big dent on the roof.

Webasto and Street-something out of AZ offer kits. Do a web search on 'folding canvas sunroof'
