500 SEL 1993 Big trouble in Little Holland

Hello everyone,

I really need some advice here. I have a problem with the ASR it goes on on a dry paved road, even on the highway etc. I have to stop the car, the throttle doens't work (not above 1000 rpm). Took it to the MB dealer they replaced
the computer (1300 euro), the ground module (400 euro) and the throttle valve (900 euro) and add a little as 20 hours of work for only 1250 euro.!!
makes about 4400 euro with tax !!!

The problem is the asr light still comes on and they simply cannot fnd the problem. The car has been at the dealer for four weeks now. They now think it is the EFP. I think there was nothing wrong with the computers in the first place but I'm just a Video Editor. My suggestion for checking the wiring; the brakelight
switch (I read it in one of these threads)
a loose ground strip or an defective alternator cranking up the volts disturbing the computer was laughed at...

The are now checking all the wires and connectors, how sponteneous is that?

It's a 1993 500sel imported from america with 120k

Who can help me ????

(we live so close to germany but that doens't seem to help our mechanics from Das Haus...)
