I had a slight miss with my diesel. You may want to check your fuel filter for water. Check the glow plugs/circuit to see if there working correctly. Take a reading with an ohm meter. My cars glow plug reading is 1 ohm. Yours may be different. They should all read the same value.
One interesting thing I tryed was a product called lubro-molly. Do a search on this board ....this stuff really works.
The out come was a cloged injector and a glow plug out of spec.
Since you were tinkering ...... is there a ground strap from the engine to the body?
