I agree about the torque characteristics of the diesel engine make it more comfortable to drive at speed. My '78 300D, however, took nearly 30 seconds to reach 60 mph from a stop. In Denver, that is dangerously slow, especially when merging on to the highway.

I am soooo loooking forward to getting my new 617.952 tweeked and tuned - merging should no longer be a problem.
