There's more diesel than gasoline in most crude oils, but I'm not sure why the price lagged so much.

The current run-up is a result of home heating oil inventory accumulation, I'm sure -- more fuel gets used heating homes in the Northeast than is used to power trucks in the winter, I believe.

I'd not park the diesel for a gasser unless the gasser gets better milage (mine don't!), and gasoline is about the same price here anyway -- or more, they both require premium.
