Mine is behind the tranny hump cover -- two screws, one on each side near the front.

Usually mounts in a bracket.

May be in other locations on other cars, doesn't matter so long as you get the power wire and speaker wires attached,

A question of my own: Are these interchangeable? I've got a Becker Mexico with cassette I'd like to install, but the speaker wire connections are different. Can I use my old one (head unit long gone, cheapo Kenwood installed, cable butchered), or do I need to use the one that came with the Mexico?
