Well, so far;
THe dealer doesn't have the tools to do the piston repair, so they would have to pull the tranny and send it off to Toronto. To R&R the tranny is 7hrs labour on top of the tranny work and parts. My service advisor recommended I find someone else local to try and repair this.
I've been to a couple of local shops and one doesn't touch automatic trannys, so he gave me the name of a transmission shop they deal with. The other one said he could probably replace the piston, but with no guarantee that the tranny would work. If it doesn't, he said he wouldn't charge for labour.
Right now, I'm seriously considering trying to do this on my own.
