Hi David, I did a search for your post 2 weeks ago on the Accel coil, and I have some questions.
Regarding the coil modifications: Correct me if I'm wrong, but did you say you cut off the Terminal boots (the end connector that snaps into the terminals of the spark plugs) of the OEM plug wires, and fitted them onto the Accel wires? I may get an Accel Super Coil too, and I just wanna make sure I have no problems with the compatibility.
My car is a 1983 W126 (280SEL) inline-6, do you think the Accel is able to work in it?
I'm also experiencing a slight rough idle problem with occasional trembles, and I thought it is the fuel pump. Then again, replacing the old-n-tired coil could be worth a try.
Any advice from you guys who'd did-it-and-seen-it-work? I hope to be the next one singing praises here about a new coil upgrade.
