My 98 E300 has plenty of power for highway use...cruisin at 70mph at peak torque, and push it a bit, and hit 95-100 in no time. So far i've had it up to 105, my goal is to be doing 110 when i hit the magical 150k mark. But i do like to get 30+ mpgs, so most of my driving is between 65-80. But i do rev her on every entrance ramp...put her into 3rd, and floor it, does a tick under 80 at 5200 rpm.
