I just purchased an 86 420 SEL, after doing my research on the car and visiting many sites and reading many threads, especially the one from Lynn about her sl troubles, I am ready to start my new hobby. First, where do I get a hold of a manual so I can being my adventure. 2nd, how sharp do you have to be to do this and at what point do you turn it over to a "fulltime enthusiast" MB mechanic. I had a 71 triumph gt6 that I worked on, (starter, waterpump, etc) and it has been a longtime since I did this, just curious on the skill set and time ti learn.....Love the car!!
