It may depend on the generations that are asked. My mom and dad have gone over each year for about the past 15 or so and spoke with students in high school and college.

They eat it up. The bell rings and they are still sitting in their seats. They are taught about their history the same way we are taught about what we did to the native Americans, Japanese during WWII, the blacks since the birth of this nation. That is to say very little if anything.
