Sometimes you make sense, and sometimes you make no sense. Cars were designed and built to be driven. Period. If you want to collect pretty mechanical things then try watches. At one point in my life I had use of a Bentley SII Drophead that was worth roughly $500K. Didn't drive it like I stole it, I drove it with the respect it deserved but it was out there, on the road. Same with most of my cars, my SDL is a 90 point car that brings me pleasure, WHEN I DRIVE IT! There is something much more impressive about the patina of age, of a machine used for it's intended purpose then of a trailer queen locked up in some anal retentive nitwit's garage.
