he confirmed this so if done right it appears you need to stain and possibly a highlight paint for the strips. he is sending me a pint of the stain he used on my other console.

Craig, yes I believe that much, if not all, the coloring to darken the zebrano may have been applied in the succeeding coats, I'm not sure what your finish guy means, but the detail of the wood is very sharp, both in my 124, and 107, after stripping, chippping whatever, the finish off. BB
