Another method to filter is to use a paint filter which can be obtained at any automotive paint and body supply store. Many times they will give you a handful for free. They drop right into the funnel as they are cone shaped. Does tend to slow down the filling process a bit, but the fluid will be clean. When finished, throw away the filter.
