My point was that there where many beautiful cars that got no attention while everyone focused on these overpriced, overhyped models. In any case if I really wanted a kick in the pants I'd take a Hayabusa.

I agree that the prices on many of them are pretty outrageous.
I also am aware that there are plenty of new cars that can outperform the old "muscle cars", on paper at least.
But I'm not talking about just the "numbers". I'm talking about that "seat of your pants" feeling......I'm talking about having FUN owning and driving a powerful, gorgeous piece of American automotive history, and one that you can actually work on yourself, at home......Driving a fast MACHINE, not a fast COMPUTER....many new cars today are more computer than anything.
To a lot of folks, no new car can ever duplicate this experience, and they pay what they must for the old car that they want. More power to 'em. I'd pay it too, if I had it.
