I just bought myself a 1980 300D 5cyl non turbo today. I did a little playing with it and got it to start but it has a bad knock. I need to get the oil pan off and take a look at what I have before I decide what I want to do next. Can I get the pan off without taking out the engine? Any suggestions on what to do and where to find more information would be great.
