Thanks BB but the motor works fine. My latest up date is that I did not need the can opener. I managed to slip an allen wrench down along the rear sides of the roof to release a latch of some sort...This let the roof drop and I was able to manually slide it open.

The black plastic frame like piece that is the same width of the sunroof and that attaches to the back end of the sunroof has broken off. I have it.

What do I have to do to remove the sunroof? Can I get it out from the outside with the roof open... without having to take down the ceiling panel of the car?
