tools anonymous?

I hear you Pete, I have been in denial for fifty years myself . Tried cold turkey but just fell off the tool cart again and again. Find myself frequenting the places that have late evening hours so I can sneak in to buy tools after dark. May just want an 18mm 1/2 drive socket. But find myself buying others even though said to myself I would not. Wake up next morning promising myself not to do it again. I fully realise it is not curable. Justification becomes the norm. Wrenching is far cheaper than wenching for example. All of us find a way. Sady will probably be a few days getting his turbo so am just trying to bump this thread up a little for the continuation and add a little levity. In my case have always felt that the first time you use a tool it is paid for by doing the job yourself versus farming it out. After that the tool is free for as long as you posess it and can find it. Of course for some items this no longer applies at all unfortunatly. Suggested to young guys that they keep an eye on yard sales to provide fundemental tools to get started for years . Noticed that good tools no longer appear there. Perhaps it's the continuing cost spiral. Who knows?
