I believe it was PSFred who mentiong that a new timing chain should be "swaged" with the Mercedes Timing Chain tool. That the master link that comes with the new chain is only for installation.

The master link circlips are pretty flimsy, and it sounds like I should get my new chain "swaged".

Anyone have any bad expierences with the master link circlips?
