My SDL fights tons of I-95 traffic. I keep the shifter in 2nd if it is moving very slow so the engine can do the braking. Thats about it just don't be in a rush because that will only raise your stress levels.

I had no problem last summer on 100 degree days sitting in traffic with the AC blasting. The AC works just OK in these cars but it is good enough.
